bullet 1/2 kg prawns or shrimps, raw
bullet 1-2 medium onions, sliced
bullet 3/4 tsp turmeric
bullet 11/2 tsp chilli powder
bullet 1 tsp garlic paste
bullet 3 medium tomatoes
bullet 250 g turai/sponge gourd
bullet 3 tbsp oil
bullet Slat to taste
  • Heat oil in pan, fry sliced onions and prawns together over medium heat. When onions are transparent add garlic, turmeric, chilli powder and salt and fry for a further minute or two.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry.
  • Add peeled and sliced sponge gourd.
  • Simmer on low heat until vegetables are done.

Serves 4 - 6
Preparation Time: 5-15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
