bullet Shrimps 1/2 kg
bullet Bread 6 slices, stale bread
bullet Eggs 2 separated, beat egg yolks and whites separately
bullet Corn flour 1 tsp
bullet Black pepper 1/2 tsp
bullet Bread crumbs 1 pkt
bullet Almonds 10, crushed
bullet Sugar 1/4 tsp
bullet Salt to taste
bullet Gram flour pinch
bullet Oil for deep frying
  • Follow directions given on page 169 for cleaning and marinating shrimps. Marinate for half hour. Mix shrimps with salt, black pepper and corn flour and crush with a fork. Remove the brown edge from bread slices and spread the shrimp paste on one side.
  • Brush with beaten egg whites; dip in breadcrumbs and crushed almonds and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and sprinkle with a pinch of gram flour.
  • Serves: 3
