Ingredients to make the batter of Prawns
 
bullet Prawns 1/2 kg- medium, cleaned
bullet Corn flour 3 tbsp
bullet Eggs 2, use whites only, beat well
bullet White flour/ chicken stock cubes mix 1 tbsp
bullet Sugar 1 tsp
bullet Oil for deep frying
bullet Salt to taste

Ingredients for Sauce

bullet Tomato sauce 1/2 cup
bullet Soya sauce 2 tbsp
bullet White vinegar 2 tbsp
bullet Pineapple juice 2 tbsp
bullet Garlic 6 cloves, peeled and finely chopped
bullet Black pepper 1/2 tsp, powdered
bullet Molasses (gur) 1 tbsp
bullet Corn flour 2 tbsp
bullet Sesame seed oil few drops
bullet Salt to taste
bullet Oil 2 tbsp

Ingredients for vegetables

bullet Capsicums 3, cut in squares
bullet Cauliflower 1 medium, cut into florets
bullet Onions 3 medium, cut in quarters and separate layers.
bullet Soya sauce 1 tsp
bullet White vinegar 1 tsp
bullet Sugar 1 tsp
bullet Salt pinch
bullet Oil 1 tbsp
  • Method to make batter for prawns: To make the batter for prawns, combine egg whites with corn flour, white flour/ chicken stock cube mix, sugar and salt. Dip each prawn in the batter and deep fry till golden. Remove and drain.
  • Method for Sauce: Mix all ingredients for sauce in a pot, cook on low heat stirring with a wooden spoon till it thickens.
  • Method to Finish with Vegetables: Heat oil in a karahi till hot, ad vegetables and stir-fry quickly, add vinegar, Soya sauce, white pepper and sugar. Stir, turn off heat. When ready to serve, combine the prawns and vegetables in the sauce, heat and serve hot.
