Chicken Rice Pulao Recipe

bullet Basmati rice, boiled 2 1/2 teacups
bullet Chicken, cut into small pieces 1 kg
bullet Ginger / garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp
bullet Green chillies, finely chopped 5
bullet Spring onions, finely chopped 3
bullet Capsicums, finely chopped 4 medium
bullet Yogurt, beaten 1 teacup
bullet Oil 5 tbsp
bullet Salt to taste
  • Heat oil and fry chicken pieces until the liquid from chicken evaporates. Add ginger/garlic paste, green chillies and salt. Mix well, stirring continuously.
  • Turn up the heat, add all vegetables and fry, stirring for a few seconds. Add beaten yogurt and mix well. Cook on low heat for a few minutes.
  • Add some water and cover the saucepan. Simmer for 8 minutes on low heat. Add the cooked chicken and gravy to the boiled rice and mix gently.
  • Cover and leave on low heat for 6 minutes.
  • Serve hot with raita.
