1   INGREDIENTS

  • Cleaned and shelled shrimps 1 lb
  • Dried pomegranate seeds 1 tsp
  • Gram flour 2 oz
  • Soda bicarb a pinch
  • Onions 2 large
  • Ghee or oil
  • Green chillies 6
  • Salt to taste

2   COOKING DIRECTIONS

  1. Try to buy the smallest shrimps available so that they may be mixed into the batter whole.
  2. In a mixing bowl put flour and add a little water to make a batter.
  3. Slice onions very fine and chop chilies.
  4. Add onions, chilies, pomegranate seeds, soda bicarbonate, salt and shrimps to the gram flour batter.
  5. Blend well. Heat the ghee in a kerai until really hot.
  6. Drop a tsp of batter at a time into the ghee and fry in lots of 6-8 pakoras.
  7. Deep-fry until brown evenly all over.
  8. Serve hot with tomato sauce or any kind of chutney.
