Skewered chicken with veggies in a yummy tomato sauce brimming with flavor. You can serve this with plain white rice or simple fried rice to bring out it’s full flavour!

  • Boneless Chicken (3/4” cube cutting) 350-400 grams
  • Onion (3/4" cube cutting) 1
  • Capsicum (3/4” cube cutting) 1
  • Tomato (3/4” cube cutting) 1
  • Cooking Oil 2 tbsp
  • Garlic Clove (finely chopped)
  • Ginger (finely chopped) 1/2 tbsp
  • Chilli 1
  • Green Onion (just the green part chopped) 1
  • Ketchup 1/2 cup
  • Salt as required
  • Corn Flour Paste with Water (2tbsp)
  • Chicken Stock 1 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 tbsp
  • Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp
  • White Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Chilli Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Shashlik Sticks 6

Cooking Directions

  1. Skewer chicken, onion, tomato and capsicum alternating until the end of the stick has been reached.

  2. Continue this process until 6 sticks have been filled.

  3. Place oil in saucepan on medium heat and place shashlik sticks to cook to a light golden brown 

  4. Turn occasionally, place lid on saucepan for about 5 minutes (drizzling a little oil if required) and strain from oil.

  5. In the same oil mix garlic and ginger for a minute.

  6. Add green onion, chilli, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, chilli sauce, chicken stock and stir well.

  7. Add corn flour paste and stir well then simmer for 2 minutes.

  8. Add shashlik sticks on top and spoon sauce over them.

  9. Add salt then cover with lid for 5 minutes.

  10. Add vinegar, black pepper and serve immediately.
