Ingredients

  • For sponge:
  • White flour 2-1/2 cup
  • Sugar 2 cup
  • Chocolate bar 250 gm
  • Coffee 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Eggs 6
  • for filling & topping:
  • Chocolate bar 200 gm
  • Cherry 1 cup
  • Icing sugar 1 cup
  • Cream 3 cup
  • Butter without salt 1-1/2 cup
  • for syrup:
  • Coffee 2 tbsp
  • Honey 6 tbsp
  • Water as required

Cooking Directions

  1. for Syrup:

  2. in 1 cup water put two tbsp coffee and 6 tbsp honey.

  3. Cook it over medium heat.

  4. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

  5. In a bowl beat eggs and beat well.

  6. Then add sugar and beat well until combined.

  7. Add and mix baking soda, baking powder and coffee.

  8. Now pour melted chocolate and beat well until all the ingredients combined finely.

  9. Then add plain flour and mix it with hand, make a smooth batter.

  10. Pour into cake pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

  11. Cut into layers and spread syrup over it.

  12. Mhod for topping & filling:

  13. In a mixing ball pour melted chocolate, icing sugar, cream, butter whip it well until light and fluffy  mixture, set aside on fridge for cooling.

  14. Sandwich the layers of cake with mixture.

  15. Make design with cream and melted chocolate on top and garnish with cherries,

  16. Grate chocolate bar and sprinkle over the cake.

  17. Yummy black forest cake is ready to serve.
