1   INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 kg minced mutton
  • 3 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 kg yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Grind:
  • 1/2 tbsp cassia bud
  • 1/2 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp peppercorn
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 cardamoms
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1/2 cup full of fresh green coriander
  • A few fresh mint leaves
  • For garnish:
  • 2 onions, sliced in rings
  • A few mint leaves

2   COOKING DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil and fry the onions until golden brown.
  2. When cool grind to a paste. Beat the yoghurt.
  3. Mix the yoghurt, the ground onions and all the ground ingredients, salt with the mince and marinate for two hours.
  4. Reheat the oil in which the onions were fried.
  5. When oil is hot add the mince.
  6. Cook till the mince is dry.
  7. Serve garnished with onion rings and mint leaves.
