- Medium potatoes 1/2 kg

Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Salt 2-3 tsps

Oil as needed
- Peel the potatoes and prick all over with a fork.

Take 4 cups water in a vessel, add 1/2 tsp.

turmeric powder and 2-3 tsps. salt in it and give it one boil.

Add the potatoes in the water and give one more boil.

Remove and drain. Heat oil in a saucepan.

When really hot, put in the salted potatoes deep fry on a low flame.

Serve hot. These are ideal with roasted chicken.
