1   INGREDIENTS

  • Lady’s fingers (bhindi, okra) 1/2 lb
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Meat 1 lb
  • Tomatoes 1/2 lb
  • Black cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Onions 2 large
  • Cloves garlic 4
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee 3 tbsp
  • Dry red chillies 3-4
  • Salt 1 1/2 tsp (or to taste)

2   COOKING DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash the meat and cut into cubes.
  2. Put the tomatoes in boiling water for a minute.
  3. Remove, peel and mash. Chop onions and fry in ghee until light brown.
  4. Stir in the juice of garlic and ginger.
  5. Then put in the pieces of meat, turmeric, coriander, red chilies, black pepper, ground cumin seeds and salt.
  6. Cook the meat adding water if necessary.
  7. In the meantime wash and fry the bhindi and fry lightly.
  8. When the meat is brown, add bhindi and mashed tomatoes.
