  • Tomato 3 (roughly chopped)
  • Oil 5 tbsp
  • Cheese 400 gm (cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • Cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 1 tbsp
  • Onions 2 (chopped)
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Chili powder ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Green peas 1 cup (shelled)
  • All spice ½ tsp
  • Double cream 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves few (washed and roughly chopped)

Cooking Directions

  1. Put tomatoes into a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Heat the oil in a wok or saucepan over a medium heat.

  3. Add the cheese and fry for about 4 minutes, gently turning occasionally, until the edges are browned.

  4. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  5. Add the cumin seeds to the oil remaining in the pan and fry, stirring frequently, for 6 – 8 minutes until the onions are golden brown, then stir in the turmeric, chili powder and salt.

  6. Bring 1-¼ cups water to the boil while the onions are frying.

  7. Put the peas into the pan and continue stirring for 2 minutes.

  8. Add the blended tomatoes and simmer for a further 3 minutes.

  9. Return the cheese to the pan and add the boiling water.

  10. Stir well and leave to simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes, or until oil appear on the surface.

  11. Sprinkle with all spice, swirl in the cream and garnish with coriander leaves.

  12. Serve hot.
