A very delicious and easy to make semoline cake with almond, coconut and soaked in syrup.

  • semolina or suji 1 cup
  • youghurt 1 cup
  • coconut powder 1 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 2 to 3tbs mixed in 1 cup of water
  • almonds for decoration 8 to 10

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and pour the mixture in the baking tray or oven proof dish.

  2. Pre heat the oven and then put the tray inside the oven.

  3. Leave it to bake on low flame for 20 to 25 mins and after every 5 to 10 mins take the tray out and srinkle the sugar water on it this will help it to be soft

  4. With the help of the fork check if the basbousa is ready if not then leave it for 5 mins more and also it should turn golden in colour.

  5. When ready decorate it with almond leave it on room temrature to cool down then u can serve it with tea and biscuits.
