  • Prawn ½ kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Onion paste 1 cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tsp (chopped)
  • Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
  • Whole cumin ½ tsp
  • Poppy seeds 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili paste 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste 2 tbsp
  • Coconut 2-3 tbsp (shredded)
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate prawns with lemon juice, salt and turmeric paste.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry prawns.

  3. Then pour oil in another pan and add fry fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds and whole cumin.

  4. Then add onion paste and ginger garlic paste and fry it again.

  5. After this, add yogurt, shredded coconut and water as required, cook it properly.

  6. Then fry red chili powder, remaining turmeric powder, poppy seeds, chopped coriander and salt in a same pan.

  7. In the end, add fried prawns and tamarind paste on low flame.

  8. Now dish out and serve it.
