Roast Leg - A delicious flavorful recipe of mutton leg roast with a nice coating. The marination has an egg and gram flour in it, which not only adds a great flavor to the roast, it also keeps the marination intact to the the mutton leg and forms a light coating.

Ingredients

  • Mutton leg 1
  • Egg 1
  • Raw papaya paste 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Black pepper crushed 1 tbsp
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar 6 tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Green coriander for garnish (optional)
  • Food color 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Make deep slits on the mutton leg with a sharp knife.

  2. Now marinate it with vinegar and salt, leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.

  3. In a mixing bowl mix oil, gram flour, white pepper, egg, black pepper, all spice powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, papaya paste, food color and ginger garlic paste.

  4. Now coat meat with this batter and leave it for 2 to 3 hours.

  5. Now put it in steamer and steam it for 25 to 30 minutes.

  6. Then put it in pre-heat oven on 200c for 25 to 30 minutes.

  7. In between baking baste it with butter or oil.

  8. When its changes its color dish it out and garnish it green coriander
