  • Chicken breasts boneless and skinless 1/2 kg
  • Onion, peeled and chopped 1 medium
  • Garlic cloves, peeled and chopped 4
  • Ginger, peeled and chopped 1" piece
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili whole 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes, chopped 2-3 medium
  • All-spice powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice for sprinkling

Cooking Directions

  1. Mince the onion, garlic,ginger and red chilli and tomatoes in a food processor or blendar.

  2. Add all the spices and yogurt and mince again.

  3. Transfer to a bowl and add the chicken.

  4. Toss to mix, cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or longer.

  5. When ready to grill, lift the chicken out of the marinade and thread on to skewers.

  6. Cook covered on a medium hot grill, turning occasionally until tender and lightly browned, about 8 minutes per side.

  7. Pour some of leftover marinade over the skewers as they cook.

  8. When the chicken is done, uncover, turn up the heat and cook the skewers, move on to a platter.

  9. Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve garnished.
