  • Large Green chilies ½ kg
  • Yogurt 300 grams
  • Onion paste 1 cup
  • Tamarind paste ½ cup
  • Curry leaves 10-15
  • Poppy seeds 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1tsp
  • Cumin powder 1tbsp
  • Sesame crushed 1tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2tbsp
  • Coconut 2tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 4tbsp
  • Peanut powder 4tbsp
  • Oil 4tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pan heat oil and add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.

  2. Fry until the contents of the pan begin to sizzle.

  3. Now add onion paste, ginger garlic paste and sauté.

  4. When the color starts to change and the aroma is given off add yogurt and mix well.

  5. Now add coriander powder, poppy seeds, cumin powder, red chili powder, mustard seeds, grated coconut, crushed sesame seeds, crushed peanuts and turmeric powder.

  6. Mix well and fry till the oil forms a separate layer on top.

  7. In the end add tamarind paste, salt, green chilies and water as required.

  8. Cover and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  9. Dish out and serve.
