  • Yogurt (whisked) 2 cups
  • Cucumbers (chopped deseeded) 4
  • Honey 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Walnuts (chopped) 5-6
  • Raisins (chopped) 7-8
  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped)

Cooking Directions

  1. In large bowl combine chopped cucumbers, yogurt, honey, walnuts, raisins, cumin powder, salt to taste and half of coriander leaves and mix well.

  2. Garnish with remaining coriander leaves.

  3. Serve chilled as an accompaniment to biryani.

  1. Zoe, there is no difference between cilantro and coriander. These different terms are used in different regions of the world; in Latin America, for example, many people say “cilantro,” while in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, people say “coriander.”
