Fajita is referred to grilled meat served in flat breads or tortillas. This Fajita recipe is altered to your convenience to cook easily in your kitchen and the maximum taste.

  • Chicken (breast pieces) 2
  • Cheddar cheese 1 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese 1 cup
  • Tangerine juice 1 cup
  • White cumin seed powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chillies 1 tsp
  • Vinegar 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Refined flour 1/2 kg
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Clarified butter 1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • For garnishing:
  • Capsicum, tomato, onion 1 each
  • Coriander leaves 1/4 bunch
  • Green chillies 6

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut chicken into thin pieces.

  2. Put chicken pieces, tangerine juice, cumin seeds powder, red chillies, vinegar, salt, and garlic in a bowl.

  3. Mix well and keep aside for 1/2 an hour.

  4. Put clarified butter and 1 tsp salt in refined flour and kneed into dough.

  5. Keep aside for 20 minutes.

  6. Make balls and fry flat breads from the kneaded dough.

  7. Heat oil in a frying pan.

  8. Add sliced tomatoes, sugar and salt.

  9. Cook till tomatoes are tender and then take off flame.

  10. Put the chicken mixture in a frying pan and cook till all the water has evaporated.

  11. Spread tomato mixture over the flat breads, top it with chicken mixture and roll them.

  12. Cut capsicum, de-seeded tomato and onion into thick slices.

  13. Put them into bowl and add sliced coriander leaves and green chillies.

  14. Mix well and keep aside.

  15. Keep rolls on a baking tray and sprinkle both the grated cheeses on top in the form of a layer.

  16. Put the baking tray in a pre-heated oven at 250 Degree C.

  17. When the cheese melts and turns golden, take out of the oven.

  18. Garnish with cut vegetables and serve hot.
