Ingredients

  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Onions(chopped) 1/4 cup
  • Ginger-Green Chilli Paste 1/2 tsp
  • Round ground(chopped) 1 cup
  • Sprouted matki 1/2 cup
  • Soya granules(soaked) 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander-Cumin seeds powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomatoes(chopped) 1/4 cup
  • For the garnish:
  • Coriander(chopped) 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.

  2. When seeds crackle, add onions and ginger-green chilli paste & saute till the onions turn translucent.

  3. Add the around gourds, matki, soya granules, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander-cumin seed powder, salt and 1/2 cup of water and pressure cook it for 1 to 2 whistles.

  4. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.

  5. Just before serving, add the tomatoes and mix well.

  6. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
