Cooking Directions

  1. Heat the milk, stirring continuously to prevent the cream forming on the top.

  2. Remove from heat when it boils and gradually stir in 1-pint sour whey.

  3. Stir till the milk curdles and then let stand for 20 minutes.

  4. Then strain through a muslin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.

  5. The cream cheese thus formed is called chana.
