An egg cooked on water instead of oil/butter is called poached egg. Making a perfect poached egg is little tricky but you can make it by following this easy method.

  • Water as required
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Fill a shallow and wide pan with water about 4 inches depth of water.

  2. Bring water to a gentle boil then reduce heat and add 2 tsp white vinegar in water.

  3. Break egg into small bowl then carefully slip egg into simmering water.

  4. Once the eggs are in the water, do not move them around.

  5. Let the eggs cook for 3-5 minutes or until the whites are set and the yolks begin to thicken.

  6. Lift each egg with a slotted spoon and drain for a few seconds on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
