  • Medium size prawn 200 gm
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic 1 tsp (chopped)
  • Onion 1 (chopped)
  • Leek 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Celery 1 tbsp
  • Rue as needed
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Nutmeg 1 pinch
  • Fish stock 200 ml
  • Basmati rice 1 cup
  • Oil 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Take prawn’s, peel & devein it.

  2. Marinated with pinch of salt & pepper.

  3. Now take medium cooking pot, put on the fire, put oil, as the oil get hot add chopped garlic, stir it add chopped onion, chopped leek, chopped celery, sauté for few minutes.

  4. Add fish stock, salt and pepper.

  5. Let it cook at medium heat, once it come to boiling point.

  6. Add Rue as needed, mix it with till the rue is dissolved in to the stock, add milk, let it cook at medium heat.

  7. Keep stirring, add pinch of nutmeg, cook further few minutes.

  8. Remove it from the fire. Strain it.

  9. Put the sauce again at heat on medium flame.

  10. Add the marinated prawn in to the chowder sauce, and cook further few minutes.

  11. Serve with hot stemmed rice.
