Preheat oven to 425o F. using a vegetable peeler remove ½ inch of skin around the top of each apple. Reserve the peeling. Brush the lemon juice inside and around the top of each apple to prevent browning.

  • Firm apples, cored till 1/2 inch of base 6
  • Juice of lemon 1
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp (ground)
  • Dark brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp
  • Honey 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425o F. using a vegetable peeler remove ½ inch of skin around the top of each apple.

  2. Reserve the peeling. Brush the lemon juice inside and around the top of each apple to prevent browning.

  3. Arrange the apples in a 9-inch roasting pan. Divide the lemon juice, cinnamon and brown sugar evenly among the apple cavities.

  4. Spread some butter on the pan and bake for 15 to 20 mins.

  5. Now take out the pan, brush with oil and pour 1-cup honey in the tray.

  6. Again put in the oven for 2-3 minutes and keep glazing honey on apples.

  7. Garnish each apple with reserved peelings and serve warm.
