  • Mutton chops 1 kg
  • Chickpeas 250 gm (boiled)
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Green chilies 8 – 10
  • Tomatoes 2 – 3 (chopped)
  • Onion 2 – 3 (chopped)
  • White cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  • Onion seeds ½ tsp
  • Soda 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic 3 tbsp (chopped)
  • Ginger 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Coriander ½ bunch (chopped)
  • Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak the chickpeas over night with baking soda. Then boil them till soft.

  2. In a mixing bowl add the yogurt, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder and salt.

  3. Add the chops and put aside for 1 hour.

  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion.

  5. Then add the tomatoes and chops and fry till the oil floats on top.

  6. Now add the chickpeas along with 2 cups of water and cook on a low flame.

  7. Before the mixture dries add the green chilies and onion seeds.

  8. Dish out and garnish with chopped coriander.
