Chicken korma masala has the grace of korma but a style of dry curry. Boneless chicken is cooked with ground cashew nuts and yogurt. You can serve chicken korma masala with rice or naan

  • Chicken ½ kg (boneless cubes)
  • Cashew nuts 12 (ground)
  • Onion 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp heaped
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • For Onion Paste:
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Ginger ½ inch piece

Cooking Directions

  1. Grind together onion, garlic cloves and ginger piece to a smooth paste.

  2. Heat oil, fry finely chopped onion till light golden.

  3. Add ground onion paste, fry till light golden.

  4. Add chicken and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Add salt, chili powder and turmeric with ¼ cup water, mix and cook for 3 minutes

  6. Add well beaten yogurt with ground cashew nut paste.

  7. Cover and cook on low flame till oil floats on top.

  8. Finish with chopped coriander.

  9. Serve hot with rice, Naan or Paratha.
