Lovely to dunk in tea and eat. Very delicious with a cup of hot coffee in the winter nights.

  • 250 gr self raising flour
  • 120 gr custard powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 ml chopped glaced cherries
  • 200 ml sugar
  • 250 gr butter
  • 50 ml chopped nuts

Cooking Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs.

  2. Sift together flour and custard.

  3. Blend into butter.

  4. Add nuts and cherries. (reserve a little for decoration).

  5. Press into a shallow swiss roll tin.

  6. Sprinkle with nuts and cherries.

  7. Bake in a moderate oven @ 150 degrees celcius, for 20 minutes.

  8. Remove from oven, cut in squares and allow to cool.
