Ingredients

  • Prawns ½ kg with tail
  • Oil for frying
  • For Batter:
  • Egg white 1
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper ¼ tsp
  • Water to make batter
  • For Spice:
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Onion ½ cup (chopped)
  • Green chili 3 (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli 1 (soaked and grinded)
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 20
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp (beaten)
  • Ketchup ¼ cup
  • Tomato paste 1 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 tbsp (julian)
  • Coriander leaves 3 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix all batter ingredients in a bowl and make batter.

  2. Dip prawns in batter and deep fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

  3. For Spice: Heat oil fry chopped onion till light pink.

  4. Add green chilli, ginger garlic paste, kashmiri red chilli, salt, curry leaves and yogurt fry till oil separates.

  5. Add ketchup, tomato paste, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger with fried prawns and ¼ cup water.

  6. Cook till spice coats to the prawns.

  7. Serve garnish with coriander leaves.
