Ingredients

  • Mutton, cut into 1-1 1/2 inch pieces 1 1/2 kg
  • Slightly heaped ginger 4 tsp
  • Slightly heaped garlic 2 1/2 -3 tsp
  • Green chillies sliced lengthwise 15-20
  • Large tomato, skinned and chopped 1
  • Medium potatoes, cut into chips and fried 4
  • Eggs 2
  • Eggs, hard-boiled 5
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Cloves garlic, crushed 1-1 1/2
  • Medium onions, fried, drained and crushed 4
  • Garam masala 1 tbsp
  • Oil

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil mutton with ginger, garlic, green chillies and salt.

  2. Cook till mutton is tender and all the water evaporates.

  3. Heat a little oil.

  4. Stir in crushed garlic and cumin seeds, then add cooked mutton and mix.

  5. Add 2 lightly beaten eggs, cook and add tomato.

  6. Fry till liquid from tomato evaporates.

  7. Layer an oven proof dish, by putting a layer of mutton first, then sprinkle fried onions then chips and top with sliced hard-boiled eggs.

  8. Put in a hot oven for ten minutes, then serve.
