  • Flour 2 ½ cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Instant yeast 1 ½ tsp
  • Yogurt whipped 4 tbsp
  • Melted ghee 2 tbsp
  • Garlic finely chopped 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Melted ghee for brushing

Cooking Directions

  1. Sieve together flour and salt in a bowl.

  2. Add in yeast, yogurt, melted ghee, chopped garlic, onion seeds, chopped coriander and knead to a soft dough with water.

  3. Pre heat oven to 230 degree C, place a tray in the oven to heat.

  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured flat surface.

  5. Split the dough into 3 equal pieces and shape each into a ball.

  6. Cover oiled plastic and leave to rise.

  7. Roll into a tear drop shape 10 inches long.

  8. Place on a hot baking sheet and onto the oven tray and bake for 5 minutes until top slightly brown.

  9. Brush with melted butter or ghee.

  10. Wrap them in a towel to keep warm.

  1. I tried this recipie but the naan came out like crackers perhaps I rolled it too thin? the very thick version of the naan was okay but not as you would get in restaurants
