  • Butter 5 ounces
  • Icing sugar 4 ounces
  • Egg 1
  • Flour 7 ounces
  • Vanilla essence few drops
  • For Filling:
  • Eggs 3
  • Sugar 5 tbsp
  • Maple syrup 1 cup
  • Butter melted 3 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • Walnuts coarsely chopped 1-1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Beat butter and icing sugar till creamy.

  2. Add 1 egg and vanilla essence.

  3. Fold in flour and mix well. Leave to chill for 30 minutes.

  4. Press in to ungreased 9 inches pie plate.

  5. Prick with fork and bake for 10 minutes.

  6. Remove and cool on a wire rack.

  7. For filling: Blend egg, sugar, maple syrup, melted butter and vanilla essence with blender.

  8. Mix chopped walnuts in the above mixture and pour on the top of the pie.

  9. Re-bake at Gas Mark 5 for 40 minutes.
