Looking for something different for lunch? This cheese bread recipe is always a hit with kids. Kids love this creamy vegetable cheese toast. Carrots, celery, mayonnaise and herbs are mixed with Parmesan cheese, then spread on French bread for a savory cheese toast everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup cheader cheese
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 slices bread (French or Italian)
  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1 small tomato (finely chopped)

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. In a small bowl, mix all ingredients, except bread.

  3. Spread vegetable cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.

  4. Place bread on baking dish.

  5. Bake 3-5 minutes on top rack or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

  6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
