  • Milk 1 ltr
  • Vermicelli, broken into small bits 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 cups
  • Dry dated (choaray) 8, remove pit and chop each into 4 pieces
  • Almonds, peeled and finely chopped 10-12
  • Pistachios,peeled and finely chopped 15
  • Boil these nuts before chopping, for five minutes.
  • Cardamoms, peeled and crushed fine 6
  • Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Cloves 2-4

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat ghee, add clove and cardamom then add vermicelli and fry lightly.

  2. Take out the vermicelli with a slotted spoon and fry the nuts lightly in the same ghee.

  3. Remove nuts, remove pan from hat and cool for five minutes.

  4. Pour milk in pan, add sugar and cook till sugar dissolves completely.

  5. Add the vermicelli and nuts, stir.

  6. Serve hot in cups.
