Ingredients

  • Chenna(freshly made) 400 grams
  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup
  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pistachios 8-10
  • Almonds 10-12
  • Saffron (kesar) 7-8 strands
  • Milk(Warm) 1 tablespoon

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak pistachios and almonds in one cup of hot water for ten minutes.

  2. Drain, peel and chop them separately.

  3. Lightly crush and dissolve saffron in warm milk.

  4. Mix in chopped pistachio nuts in milk and saffron mixture.

  5. Knead chenna with your palm to ensure that it is quite smooth in texture.

  6. Add powdered sugar and green cardamom powder and knead well.

  7. Transfer the mixture into a kadai and cook on low heat for five to six minutes, stirring continuously.

  8. Remove from heat, mix gently till it is cool enough to handle.

  9. Mix in chopped almonds and divide into twenty equal portions.

  10. Form each portion into desired shape, garnish with chopped pistachio and soaked saffron.

  11. Chill thoroughly and serve.
