  • Besan 250 gm
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Salt 3/4 tsp
  • Zarda/yellow colouring as required
  • Soda 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl mix besan with salt, pepper, yellow colouring with water, enough to create a thick batter.

  2. Add soda and mix well.

  3. Heat oil for deep frying.

  4. Hold a large channa (large iron sieve with holes) over the oil.

  5. Drop and spread the batter in the channa, so that small droplets fall into the hot oil.

  6. Once the droplets turn golden brown take out and drain excess oil.

  7. Optional: Garnish with chaat masala.
