  • Plain flour 300 gm
  • Egg 1
  • Tomatoes 3
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Oregano 1 tbsp
  • Red food color 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed coriander 2 tbsp
  • Crushed cumin 2 tbsp
  • Pomegranate seeds 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander as required
  • Water as required
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Sift flour in a bowl.

  2. Add in salt, oil and water as required.

  3. Knead to form smooth dough.

  4. Take another pan and boil tomatoes.

  5. Blend boiled tomatoes with red food color in a juicer.

  6. Add in beaten egg.

  7. Pour this mixture in a bowl and add crushed coriander, crushed cumin, pomegranate seeds, red chili powder, salt, oregano and fresh coriander.

  8. Mix thoroughly and keep aside.

  9. Form the prepared dough into shape of a chappati (roti).

  10. Apply the mixture on top of it, and fry from both sides.

  11. Lahori katlama is ready to serve.
