Ingredients

  • For Dough
  • All purpose flour 3 cups
  • Warm water 1 cup
  • Yeast 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • For Topping
  • Melted butter as required
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix yeast, sugar, salt and oil in warm water. Leave it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes froth will appear on top.

  2. In a bowl add flour and yeast mixture slowly and knead it to form smooth dough.

  3. When the dough is smooth and elastic put in bowl and cover with damp cloth and leave for rising about 40 minutes or until double.

  4. Pinch down dough and roll out into rectangular shape. Spread melted butter, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon.

  5. Roll like Swiss roll, seam side down and cut with knife about 1.5 inches thick.

  6. Place on greased baking tray and allow rise for 30 minutes.

  7. Brush the top with melted butter and bake in preheated oven at 180 degree for 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden brown.

  8. Let cool for a few minutes and then serve immediately.
