1/2 cup icing sugar |
|
|
1 egg |
|
|
1/8 tsp almond essence |
|
|
25 almonds |
|
|
1 cup butter |
|
|
2 cup flour |
|
|
3/4 tsp baking powder |
|
 |

Cream the butter and sugar and beat the egg in it

Mix sifted flour, baking powder and coarsely grounded peeled
almonds
-
Knead into smooth dough. Chill until firm
-
Cut about two dozen slices with the help of the cutter and
bake in the oven at 350 degrees F until golden brown in
color
-
Cool serve at tea
