bullet 1 kg mutton, cut into 1 – 11/2 inch pieces
bullet 350-400 g yogurt, whipped
bullet 2-3 medium onions, sliced
bullet 1 tsp ginger, ground
bullet 1 tsp garlic, ground
bullet 1/2 tsp turmeric
bullet 1 tsp saffron, roasted and crushed
bullet 100 ml butter or ghee
bullet Salt to taste
  • Mix all ingredients with meat except ghee and marinate for 3-4 hours.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan, add the marinated mutton. Cook on a low heat till meat is tender and the oil separates from meat.
  • Serve with nan or chappati.

Serves 4 - 6
Preparation Time: 3 - 4 hours
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
