Small turnips 11/2
Ghee 90 gms
Chopped onions 250 gms
Ground sesame seeds 2 tbsps
Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
Ginger powder ¼ tsp
Pepper ¼ tsp
Ground cumin seeds 1 tsp
Ground coriander seeds ¼ tbsp
Crushed cloves of garlic 6
Curd 150 gms
Broken bay leaves 2
Cream 4 tbsps
Salt to taste
Peel the turnips, then heat 30 gms. ghee and fry the pricked turnips till crisp. Remove. Heat the rest of the ghee and add all the dry ingredients.
Stir for a few minutes, add ¼ litre water and cook again till masala is dry.
Then add the curd, turnips and bay leaf. Cover and cook till soft.
Add cream just before serving.
