bullet Turnips 400 gms
bullet Small onion (chopped) 1
bullet Ghee 30 gms
bullet Ground aniseed 2 tsps
bullet Ground fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
bullet Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Freshly ground black pepper ¼ tsp
bullet Salt to taste
bullet Fresh coriander leaves
  • Peel, quarter and cook the turnips in salted water until thoroughly tender, then mash well. Fry onion in ghee for 1 minute, then add the other ingredients.
  • Stir and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add the turnips. Stir over medium heat.
  • Add chopped coriander and serve.
