Turnips 400 gms
Small onion (chopped) 1
Ghee 30 gms
Ground aniseed 2 tsps
Ground fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves
Peel, quarter and cook the turnips in salted water until thoroughly tender, then mash well. Fry onion in ghee for 1 minute, then add the other ingredients.
Stir and fry for a few seconds.
Add the turnips. Stir over medium heat.
Add chopped coriander and serve.
