Round potatoes 1/2 kg
Salt 11/2 tsps
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Cumin seed powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2
Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
Oil 4 tbsps
Onions 2
Peel potatoes and slit so that one side is intact. Mix half the salt, chilli powder, garam masala and stuff into the slit potatoes.
Reserve. Fry cumin seeds in 4 tbsps. oil. Add chopped onions till golden.
Add remaining chilli powder, turmeric powder garam masala, cumin seeds and coriander powder and salt to taste.
Arrange potatoes neatly in the gravy and cook till done without any water.
Garnish with coriander leaves and a pinch of garam masala.
