bullet Arvi ¼ kg
bullet Onions 1/8 kg
bullet Tomatoes 1/8 kg
bullet Curd 2 tbsps
bullet Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Aniseed 1/2 tsp
bullet Green coriander a few sprigs
bullet Salt to taste
bullet Chilli powder to taste
bullet Ghee
  • Peel and chop the arvi into four pieces lengthwise and deep fry to a golden brown. Heat 2 tbsps. ghee and add finely chopped onions.
  • When browned, add tomatoes and the dry masalas. Keep stirring till ghee separates from the masalas.
  • Then add the fried arvi and well beaten curd. Cover, cook on a low flame till arvi is tender and the gravy is thick.
