Ripe tomatoes 450 gms
Sugar 450 gms
Red chillies 10 gms
Garlic 15 gms
Ginger 15 gms
Vinegar 160 ml
Salt to taste
Grind the ginger, garlic and chillies with vinegar. Scald the tomatoes and remove their skins. Cut them into slices.
dd the remainder of the vinegar and boil until it is soft.
Add the sugar, the ground ingredients and salt and boil the chutney gently till it is thick.
