bullet Ripe tomatoes 450 gms
bullet Sugar 450 gms
bullet Red chillies 10 gms
bullet Garlic 15 gms
bullet Ginger 15 gms
bullet Vinegar 160 ml
bullet Salt to taste
  • Grind the ginger, garlic and chillies with vinegar. Scald the tomatoes and remove their skins. Cut them into slices.
  • dd the remainder of the vinegar and boil until it is soft.
  • Add the sugar, the ground ingredients and salt and boil the chutney gently till it is thick.
