Urad dal 1 cup
Jaggery 1 cup
Aniseed 1 tsp
Ghee for frying
Soak dal in cold water for 7-8 hours. Then grind it finely. Stir until it becomes sticky and add ground aniseeds.
Then fry the baras one ball at a time in ghee. Dip them in jaggery syrup. Serve when soaked through.
Jaggery syrup is made by mixing 11/2 cups water with 1 cup jaggery and boiling till well blended.
