bullet Urad dal 1 cup
bullet Jaggery 1 cup
bullet Aniseed 1 tsp
bullet Ghee for frying
  • Soak dal in cold water for 7-8 hours. Then grind it finely. Stir until it becomes sticky and add ground aniseeds.
  • Then fry the baras one ball at a time in ghee. Dip them in jaggery syrup. Serve when soaked through.
  • Jaggery syrup is made by mixing 11/2 cups water with 1 cup jaggery and boiling till well blended.
