Chana dal 1 kg
Flour (maida) 1/2 kg
Grind:
Cuminseed 1 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Ginger 1 cm piece
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Knead the flour into a dough with enough oil, salt and water. Boil the dal with salt. Mash completely into a dry paste and add the ground ginger.
Cover small balls of the dal mixture with dough and roll carefully into rotis. Fry on a griddle with oil, on both sides keeping the rotis soft.
