Dry dates 250 gms
Cardamoms 10 gms
Pepper 5 gms
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander seeds 500 gms
Sugar 11/4 kg
Saffron 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Chironji 50 gms
Raisins 100 gms
Almonds 25 gms
Dry ginger 5 gms
Black pepper 5 gms
Mango powder 250 gms
Ginger 1" piece
Lemons 4
Cumin seeds 2 tsps
Salt to taste
Soak and seed the dry dates and cut into small pieces. Chop the almonds and chironji. Grind all masalas separately.
Prepare a one thread consistency syrup of the sugar. Add all ingredients. Add a pinch of salt and lemon juice.
Cool and store in sterilised jars.
