bullet Shelled prawns 1/2 kg
bullet Brinjals 3
bullet Turmeric powder 1 tsp
bullet Red chillies 5
bullet Mustard paste 1/2 tsp
bullet Green chillies 3
bullet Salt to taste
bullet Oil as needed
  • Apply turmeric powder and salt to cleaned, deveined prawns and boil. Peel the brinjals and cut into pieces.
  • Heat 11/2 cup of oil in a vessel, add ground red chillies, a little water and brinjal pieces and fry on a medium flame till they are soft.
  • Add the prawns, salt and keep stirring. When nearly ready, add the mustard paste, slit green chillies to the prawns.
  • Pour a little mustard oil over just before serving.
