Ground and fried
lentils are turned into a delicious sweet dish.
Lentils (moong
daal) 120 gm/ 1/2 cup
Cardamoms 2
Cashew nuts,
broken 10 gm/2 tsp
Clarified
butter (ghee) 30 gm/2 tbs
Khoya, fresh,
grated 60 gm/ 1/4 cup
Pistachios,
chopped 10
Sugar 60 gm/ 1/4
cup
Water 120 ml/
1/2 cup
Wash
and soak the lentils for 30 minutes. Drain out water and
grind into a rough paste. Heat ghee in a kadhai and fry the
lentil paste till light golden in colour. Put the sugar and
water to boil in another pan. Stir continuously till the
sugar dissolves completely.
Boil
rapidly for 5 minutes. Add to the fried daal. Cook, stiring
vigorously till the mixture becomes thick. Add cardamom
powder.

Preparation: 40 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
To
Serve: Garnish with khoya, cashew nuts and pistachios.
Serve hot.
