bullet Vermicelli (sewaiyan) 1/2 kg
bullet Sugar 3 cups
bullet Water 1 cup
bullet Ghee 4 tbsp
bullet Almonds, pistachios 10 each, finely chopped
bullet Cardamoms 6, peeled and ground with 1 tsp sugar
 
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add cardamoms when hot. Then add sewaiyan, stir quickly to cook evenly. Remove to a dish. In another pan heat the water and sugar to make sugar syrup. Add sewaiyan and chopped nuts to it before the syrup thickens.
  • Cover and lower heat. When the liquid evaporates remove to a serving dish and garnish with silver varaq and nuts.
