  1. Kavita Kapoor, egg has a different function in different recipes. Sometimes it works as a binder, sometimes as a leavening agent and sometimes for flavor, body and texture. You can omit or substitute egg in most savory recipes e.g. BBQ, soup, rice, sandwich etc. For baking, you can search for eggless baking recipes. To mimic egg's body and flavor, you can substitute it with tofu in some recipes. There are some commercial egg replacers available in market too e.g. "Ener-G".

  2. I watch your show every weekend and i love it. the recipes you give are really good to make and my family loves them. I am from India and i live in California. I have one question. What would you subsitute for an egg in a recipe. me and my family are vegetarians and we dont eat egg, meat or any kind of stuff like that. if you would help us out i would really appreciate it.
